Wedding Flower Arrangement With Candles
Are you looking for something more then just a plain wedding flower arrangement? Then why not use a flowers in combination with candles, both of these make splendid centerpieces and together can be truly stunning.
One of my favorite ways to combine flowers and candles is this centerpiece. In large glass bowls stick 7-8 flowers, with the stems cut off at the bottom. Then fill the bowl half way or a little more and place 3-4 floating candles in the water. Top it with matching petals from the flowers you used and you have a breathtakingly beautiful centerpiece.
For a more unique and elegant wedding flower arrangement. Place a small bouquet in the center of the table and then place 3-5 floating candlesticks around the bouquet. The use of floating candlesticks is very popular in Europe and it illuminates the tables and room very nicely. So this centerpiece would go wonderful for an evening reception and you probably wouldn’t need a lot of other light.
Another option you have for combining the two is have 4-5 single roses in thin vases on the table. Then accompany each vase with a small votive. Or you can do a main candle themed centerpiece and skip the wedding flower arrangement, but place petals all over the table.
Another simple option you have in combining flowers and candles is to create two centerpieces. Have one centerpiece that is a beautiful bouquet and one that has candles as the focal point. Then place the wedding flower arrangement on half the tables and the candle centerpiece on the other.
If you do decide to combine flowers and candles for your centerpiece you want to remember a few things. Make sure the design is simple and doesn’t have too much going on. Also make sure the color of candles and flowers match. Then the most important thing is to make sure if the candles are lit that the flowers will not be close enough to get scorched or even catch on fire.
