If you are a unique individual why would you settle for an average wedding? This includes all the decor you will adorn your tables with at the reception. Adding some fun and unique wedding centerpieces that are an expression of your style can be fun and start conversations at your guests table.
When you have an original personality or unique influence in your life it is fun to share that and incorporate it into your wedding. If you share something unique with you both that can be fun too. Having unique color schemes can also be fun and dramatic all at the same time.
If you are a green conscious couple having items in your centerpiece can not only make a unique centerpiece but also keep true to your philosophies. A winter wedding with sprigs of evergreen and holly made a beautiful piece to view. Grinding cinnamon in a bowl or tying pieces within the piece can give it a beautiful aroma. Light vanilla tea light candles and you have a magical aroma of a beautiful holiday wedding.
Sticking to the seashore is another way to go by adding seashells and sand to your centerpieces. Coral can also be a dramatic way to express you at each table. A message in a bottle theme is fun as well. Give each table pieces of paper to write messages for you and your spouse and then have the place it in a bottle on the table. You can incorporate this idea with your favors and give them a little message in a bottle to take home with them.
You can make your center arrangements edible or that can be planted. For a spring wedding, choose fresh fruit with the flowers for healthier living. Say you both just lost a lot of weight or ran a marathon and you are celebrating healthier living. Or do something live like a potted plant nicely decorated. Have a person at each table take home the plant and put it in the ground to watch it grow stronger just like you and your new spouse.
Add pretty rocks to the bottom of a glass vase and fill halfway with water while adding some tall lavender sprigs. This can signify the rock solid foundation of your marriage. You can also have a small bonsai tree with little scissors so each guest can trim them as the evening go on.
Or if you have a flair for the dramatic you can incorporate that as well. If you both have a favorite movie tie it in with the day and do something fun. If you support a cause ask for a donation instead of a gift for the wedding and all the proceeds will be donated in the wedding party name.
