Planning My Wedding The Easy Way

You may ask the question, how am I going to go about planning my wedding? Most people allow wedding plans to take over every aspect of their lives without considering the consequences. Some people spend the entire weekend trying to find the most appropriate color for a shoe or flower than to bask in the ambiance of romance. Even though people mostly plan months and months in advance, you can do your entire wedding planning without all the chaos within a short period of time by following these simple tips.

Planning my wedding was a breeze when I took certain steps. One of the simplest ways you can have your wedding planned in a short time frame is to call a local wedding planner and they will basically handle everything from the music, cake, food, picking a date as well as choosing a theme with decorations. Sometimes all that you have to do is just show up; a very stress-free way of having a wedding. However, for this type of service, you will be looking to pay a pretty high price for being able to kick back and just watch. Also, you may not be able to receive service from the contractors of your choice.

Step 1 – Determine a date and choose your staff. The most difficult day to get scheduled is on Saturday if your date is less than six months away. You may have to consider going with a different day of the week depending how soon you will be getting married.

Once the date has been etched in stone, start lining up the following: photographer, caterer, minister or judge, DJ, florist, baker, video footage, reception party, etc. Start looking around and calling people you know who can offer some sound suggestions.

Step 2 – The caterer can make the difference. When choosing, pick one that will provide all the dishes and utensils. Try not to go the less expensive route here as you could end up doing more running around than you anticipate with this option. Normally, you will have to order, pick the order up, and then make sure all the utensils and silverware is returned.

Step 3 – You can either special order your invitations or create them yourself using computer software.

Step 4 – Set aside a couple days to choose and get fitted for a dress. Also pick out the bridesmaid dresses and make sure all the bridesmaids have time to fit their dress. This is also a day you could rent the tuxedos and purchase all the wedding accessories because you will find them easily at the stores you will be fitting for dresses at.

Step 5 – Pick out all the gifts you plan to have and register them all at your favorite stores. This process will take a few hours.

Some other things that will need to be handled is the travel reservations for the honeymoon, hair and makeup appointments, order rings, schedule rehearsals, purchase gifts, and create the wedding program pamphlets.

Once you have the above items taken care of, the rest will be a breeze. You can avoid any headaches just by taking your time, planning, and following through with your plan day by day. The next time you ask, how will I go about planning my wedding, you will now have some easy options to consider.
