Having a wedding can be one of the most romantic and fun events, and this is why do it yourself wedding centerpieces have become so popular. You have the option of creating a masterpiece with numerous options. As guests are waiting for their meal to arrive, the wedding centerpiece is the perfect icebreaker and conversation starter you can have at your event. Many times this arrangement is what brings life to your wedding as well as to your photographs.
There are more and more people that are becoming environmentally-conscience and just because you are having a wedding doesn’t mean you throw the recycling out the door. Your wedding can be just as nice being eco-friendly as well.
Your centerpieces can easily be created with recycled material, such as, glass, rocks, different jars, seashells, flowers, plastic, fish, candles, paper, greenery and beach rocks.
Idea #1 – You can create little luminaries by punching holes through tin cans to make a decorative pattern and then place a candle in the middle. The ray of light shining through can be a sight to see. Of course the cans can be painted different colors to create a modern look.
Idea #2 – Have you ever imagined creating a beautiful wetland work of art for each table at your wedding? This creation will add a calm and relaxed appeal to your event.
With this piece of art, you will want to make sure that you set them up at the event as they will be very difficult to carry inside.
You will need the following materials: large dishes, wood that is waterproof, flat and small pebbles, duckweed, freshwater clam shells, and flowers of your choice.
You will first want to make sure you match the pebbles and the flowers with your wedding décor. You may just want white pebbles or a certain type of flower that will go well with this look.
The pebbles will need to be cleaned off. Check out the way it looks when wet. You may opt to purchase ones that have been polished.
Place the pebbles on the centerpiece tray or dish along with your wooden pieces. Fill the dish with water that has been distilled.
Trim the flower heads off at the top of the stem, but leaving just a small amount still attached to the flower. Arrange the flowers how you need them and then snip the stem one more time underwater to preserve its freshness before the event. You can add the duckweed last for a final touch.
The sky is the limit with do it yourself wedding centerpieces that natural way.
