The traditional wedding centerpiece has always been flowers. However, for the last decade or so more and more couples are choosing to go with something else and the last year a lot of couples are opting out of flowers because of the expense. But if you choose not to do flowers, then what do you do? There’s candles, but every does those now, so what else is there.
If you want eye-catching and unique centerpieces ideas then why not do fondue. In the middle of each table you can set up a fondue set and then serve fondue as appetizers, or meal, or the dessert. I think the best thing would be to use it as a refreshment or dessert. Purchase the ones that resemble fountains, fill it with chocolate and then place fruits around the table for people to dip. This would not just be unique but also keep the guests entertained.
Other centerpieces ideas that include food would be fruit bowls. Not many people think about fruit bowls for weddings, but if you are using oranges, yellows, or greens in you theme, then bowls full of limes, lemons, and oranges really brighten the room and make the tables appear fresh and clean.
If you want to stay away from food for your centerpiece then I have an idea for you. How about doing little glass boxes that you fill with different things that go well with your theme. Then stack them on the table in a decorative fashion and accent with ribbon or glitter. If you’re not sure what to put in them a few ideas would be: rocks, flowers or petals, pictures, stuffed animals, leaves, a pinecone, feathers, or maybe consider filling them with things that reflect you and your spouse, like a piano if you play, soccer balls, if you do, something from where you had your first date, etc.
The limits for a great centerpiece idea are endless you just have to get your brain cranking and you should be able to come up with something that will go well for the evening.
